Welcome to the Connectional Ministries blog! The CM team will be sharing occasional updates in story and photo as we travel the North Georgia roads and serve with our churches. My personal experience the years I've been in this role has been that my work with CM makes me your field agent. So, I'm your extra team member who can help with ideas, preaching or teaching, or networking. Or whatever you might need related to effective mission and ministry. Why Systems Matter

Quincy Brown

10/18/2017

WHY SYSTEMS MATTER  I'm halfway through Charge Conference season! My schedule of visiting all 56 churches by attending three Charge Conferences on Sundays, two on Tuesday, and two on Thursday has me finding new routes to our churches in the district.  To assist me in my travels, I depend heavily on Waze, the community-based traffic and navigation app on my phone.   I love Waze!  I use the app every morning on my stop to Starbucks on the way to the office. To avoid traffic on Hwy 138, Waze ...

ELI Applications Open for Youth in Your Congregation

Connection Points

It's a guided tour of who God created you to be, how God created you to lead, what it means to be a Christian servant leader, and what it means to live in Christian community.  Please ...

‘A Soul Matter’

Terry Walton

10/10/2017

I Was Thinking… Have you noticed that conflict is everywhere?  According to an Executive Coaching Survey published by Stanford University, Company CEO’s feel a greater need to improve their conflict management skills than skills of any other type.  A study of parents would likely yield similar results. Since we are aware that we live in a world of conflict then why can’t we solve the problem?  As you might expect a preacher to conclude…this is a ‘soul matter’ not a ‘skill-set’ solution.  While...
